How to Sort a Single Column in Excel?

It's very easy to sort data in Excel. Follow the steps given below with pictures to sort a single column data in excel.

1. Select the column you want to sort.


2. Then click the "Sort Ascending" button on the toolbar.


3. Your data in that column will be sorted in ascending order.


Notes:
1) If you want to sort the data in descending order, please click the "Sort Descending" button on standard toolbar. If this button is not visible, then make it visible by clicking on "Add or Remove Button".

2) There are advanced options available for sorting. On main Menu, click on "Data --> Sort" to see following window of advanced sort options. The usage of advanced sort options will be illustrated in other tutorials.
